What jobs can you get with an A&P license?
An FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate qualifies you for aircraft mechanic and aircraft maintenance technician (AMT) roles at airlines, MROs and Part 145 repair stations; powerplant and engine shop roles; sheet-metal and structures repair; avionics technician work, usually with added electrical training; quality inspector positions once you add an Inspection Authorization; instructor jobs at Part 147 schools; and FAA Aviation Safety Inspector (airworthiness) positions, which require the A&P plus several years of experience.
Do all the jobs on this board require an A&P certificate?
Most do. Sheet-metal, structures and some avionics roles at manufacturers hire from the trades without it, and instructor and inspector roles usually want the A&P plus experience. Each listing states its own requirements on the employer's application page.
Where do these listings come from, and how often are they updated?
