Spokane Community College's Aviation Maintenance Technology program at Felts Field trains students to inspect, service, and repair airplanes and helicopters of all sizes and to take the FAA exams for licensure. Students first complete the General Aircraft Maintenance certificate, which the FAA requires at 750 hours of attendance before an Airframe or Powerplant certificate can be issued, then continue into the Airframe and Powerplant certificates covering reciprocating and turbine engines.
