About this school
The Aviation Institute of Maintenance's Norfolk, Virginia campus at 2329 E. Little Creek Road is the original AIM campus; it opened in 1994 as Tidewater Tech next to Norfolk International Airport and has since moved to a larger site. The 70,000-square-foot campus on 11 acres offers the Aviation Maintenance Technician certificate and the Professional Aviation Maintenance Certification, with an engine room, airframe shop, powerplant lab, and two hangars holding airplanes, helicopters, and multi-engine aircraft. Many instructors are AIM alumni and about half are military veterans; the campus is FAA-certificated under Part 147, ACCSC-accredited, and certified to operate by SCHEV.
