Middle Tennessee State University's Department of Aerospace in Murfreesboro is an FAA-approved FAR Part 147 maintenance technician school, and its Bachelor of Science in Aerospace with a Maintenance Management concentration is accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International. The concentration prepares students as maintenance technicians or entry-level managers at repair stations, manufacturers, and modification shops, and FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification is required before graduation from the 120-hour program.
