Forsyth Technical Community College's Aviation Systems Technology program is taught in a dedicated 53,000-square-foot Aviation Technology Lab at Smith Reynolds Airport in Winston-Salem. The Airframe Maintenance Certificate takes two to three semesters of day classes and covers FAA-required coursework, aviation math and physics, aircraft systems, electronics and diagnostics, and structural maintenance, preparing students for the FAA Airframe rating exams.
