Hudson Valley Community College's Aviation Maintenance Technician program, taught at its Aviation Training Institute near Albany, prepares students for FAA certification and entry-level employment. Training covers composite structures, electricity, sheet metal, flight instruments, assembly and rigging of flight controls, turbine and piston engines, propellers, lubrication, ignition, and fuel metering systems, leading to the FAA written, oral, and practical exams.
